Why Jumping Rope Is Healthy
There are not many exercises that you can do inside a limited space, that can get your heart rate up to fat burning level as rapidly as jumping rope. To burn fat you need to need to have a heart rate inside your target zone. The easy and quick method of calculating your target heart rate is to subtract your age by 220 for men and use 226 for women. Example: Your age is 34 and you are a male. 220-34 = 186. 186 BeatsPerMinute. To accurately measure this number you should use a heart rate monitor. Jumping rope for a few minutes can bring your heart rate to optimized levels. Not many other exercises can claim this. The other benefit of jumping rope is the rhythm pattern associated with the jumping. When doing exercise its nice to be able to get a rhythm going to avoid thinking about either the fatigue or pain feelings. With jumping rope you can get into a zone similar to what runners start to see after a lengthy run.
